Yesterday B casually mentioned that his mother would sit for H while we went out on Friday. I didn't have to think twice, I just jumped up and down a whole bunch and asked him what he thought we should do. I was up for hiring a rocket ship and going to the moon, but I guess dinner and a show is more our speed these days. Baby steps, you know.

If you think about it, 'baby steps' means kind of the opposite of what the term intends. Babies take small steps, but metaphorically speaking, babies learn at a much faster rate than at any other time in a human's life.
